King County Housing Authority

The King County Housing Authority (KCHA) provides rental housing and rental assistance to more than 19,000 households in our home region. KCHA owns and manages 4,269 units of federally funded housing for families, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

We're supporting efforts to continue partnerships with the Bellevue, Highline, and Kent school districts to provide additional support for students living in KCHA housing. KCHA works closely with families, school districts, and service providers to counsel families about the academic effects of moving during the school year, and to ensure that more than 20,000 low-income children have access to early learning and after-school activities on-site.
