King County

As long-term residents of Seattle, the Gates Foundation has a special commitment to our home region of King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.

We partner with King County in their annual Point in Time Count to collect data about people experiencing homelessness in our community. The count is required by the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development, and provides an opportunity to increase awareness of homelessness and spark community action. Through the Point In Time Count, King County is able to fully understand the severity of homelessness, allocate resources and services, and help residents find stable housing.

We are also supporting King County's efforts to implement its family homelessness strategic plan.
