School's Out Washington

School's Out Washington (SOWA) ensures that children and young people have places to learn and grow when not in school. For three decades, SOWA has worked closely with afterschool and summer programs to improve access and quality.

We're providing several grants to support School's Out Washington's mission of continuing education beyond the school day through the Road Map Project. We also provided a grant for SOWA to work with the Youth Executive Directors of King County to build the social-emotional learning (SEL) landscape in South King County, build relationships between key school district leaders, and amplify progress around SEL both in and out of school.
