Sound Discipline

In 2007, Sound Discipline began with an ambitious dream of bringing community-oriented restorative justice to the classroom. Today, they’ve served over 32 schools across Washington and trained over 5,000 educators in trauma-informed practices and Positive Discipline in the classroom. Sound Discipline believes the development of social-emotional skills go hand-in-hand with academic rigor to create well-rounded citizens and effective classroom environments.

Sound Discipline uses a research-based, results-driven approach that uses the latest in neuroscience and education research to create practical, easily accessible tools for parents and educators. Change agents, like Sound Discipline, are working across sectors to bring results that help students feel more connected and thrive in their learning environment.
