United Way of Pierce County

One-third of working families in Pierce County are struggling to make ends meet. We're supporting Centers for Strong Families (CSF), led by the United Way of Pierce County, and their work to improve financial stability for families in need. The CSF model helps families increase their income, decrease expenses, achieve postsecondary education and/or job training, and build credit by providing one-on-one financial coaching and employment services.

Since 2016, 725 families have enrolled in services, 929 people are getting occupational skills training, and 176 people have been placed in jobs.
