The University of Washington (UW) is turning ideas into impact to transform lives. In addition to grants to UW provided by the Gates Foundation's global health division, our home team partners with UW on scholarship programs and professional development opportunities for Pre-K and K-12 educators in Washington state.

One of our recent grants to the University of Washington supported the Dream Project. The Dream Project is a student-led program that serves primarily first generation and/or low-income students and UW undergraduate students from a wide variety of backgrounds. The project supports students who have historically struggled to access higher education and aims to alleviate this lack of access through focused outreach that educates and provides opportunities.
