Washington State Department of Early Learning

The Washington State Department of Early Learning (DEL), now housed in the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) offers programs and services that support healthy child development and school readiness for the approximately 90,000 children born in Washington each year. Their four strategic goals include:

• Providing voluntary, high quality early learning opportunities for children and families in Washington
• Supporting all early learning professionals with research-based professional development and resources to ensure high quality early learning opportunities
• Building public awareness of and support for high quality early learning opportunities
• Promoting system excellence by ensuring DEL is well-managed and supportive of its employees

We are partnering with the Department of Early Learning to support their preschool quality improvement efforts called Early Achievers.
