Juan Sanchez

Senior Program Officer, Measurement & Evaluation

Juan grew up in the Mission district in San Francisco, a predominantly Latino area, and was one of the few of his friends to go to college—he ended up at U.C. Berkeley, went on to get his teaching credential from San Francisco State, and went back to Cal for a doctorate as a Gates Millennium Scholar. Juan’s work at the foundation includes measurement and evaluation to help us learn and improve, building a data-driven culture to drive efforts to address housing, homelessness, and education from preschool through college.
