March 2019 Newsletter
March 31st, 2019
In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we’re recognizing the accomplishments and successes of women all over the globe and here at home. In our March newsletter, we featured inspirational stories and local student perspectives. Here are a few highlights:
- To share stories of inspiration and success, Washington STEM profiled local women who are changing perceptions and opening doors to opportunity.
- On March 11, The Seattle Times’ Education Lab hosted its fourth annual Ignite Education Lab – a unique storytelling event where educators and students shared powerful experiences and lessons learned in education. Check out all the inspiring stories from this year’s event.
- To support the success of thousands of underrepresented students, the foundation has committed $500,000 to the University of Washington Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMA&D) Instructional Center.
